Most people have never even heard of Trigeminal Neuralgia. I have because my husband literally suffered with it. It took quite a while and quite a few doctor visits to get the diagnosis. Even when we did, the first neurologist we saw really wasn’t helpful in treating him or getting him the additional help he needed.

Hypnosis & TN

If it were not for hypnosis, I don’t know exactly where he would be today. I wish I could say it was an exaggeration. The intense pain, the low or no quality of life, the constant doctor scheduling and visits (and waiting in between), multiple prescriptions and changes in medication and ultimately being unable to eat….hypnosis is the only thing that regularly brought him some relief. With a level ten (10) pain, he could usually get it down low to a 2. Sometimes it was even a zero. We are so grateful he understood the role hypnosis and self-hypnosis could play in his pain management.

Today after an operation to correct his problem, he is pain free. He says he no longer remembers the pain. Here’s the best part. He made it through the hard part and got to the relief! You can too! You can use hypnosis and self-hypnosis to find some relief until you are able to resolve the medical issue!

Loved Ones of TN Sufferers

There are a range of emotions that come with being the supportive person or persons of someone diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia. In addition to watching him or her suffer and not being able to help, you have added responsibilities. I know you want to support your loved one. Of course, the first thing is getting them the right medical care. But in between that, I suggest you learn self-hypnosis with your loved one. It will be good for you and it will be good to help them calm and learn to less the stress associated with this pain.
